How We Met
Six years ago, Taylor moved to Omaha to attend college at UNO. The first night after she moved in to her dorm room, some random guys knocked on her door. Of course, it was Matt and a bunch of his buddies!
Later that night, she went to visit her friend Matt (Mausbach- the best man) and once again stumbled across Matt as he was Mausbach's random roommate and lived only a building over from Taylor.
Taylor became a more then frequent visitor at Matt 1 and Matt 2's dorm (as they were referred to as) and those three soon became inseperable.
Fun Fact: In the meantime, Taylor learned Matt 1 for some reason felt it necessary to have a chat with Matt 2 to make sure he didn't have a thing for her. ;)

FIRST
It almost didn't happen...
Taylor had once told Matt that she loved the movie The Dark Knight, so he asked if she wanted to come over to his dorm and watch it. They planned to meet at around 9pm, but Matt continued to text Taylor to push it back later and later. By 11:30 she was very much questioning why she would even consider going over there, but sure enough around midnight Taylor found herself at Matt's dorm!
They spent more of the night talking and getting to know each other then they did watching the movie.
It seemed like they just clicked instantly.

There was just something about him
that drew me in. He had such a gentle heart, a fun spirit, and a kindness that wrapped around everyone he was with. We had the same hobbies, interests, and could just talk to each other for hours!
But to be honest, at the time I wasn't interested in being in a relationship of any sort. Yet, I couldn't deny that there was just something about Matt that I couldn't stay away from.
Matt was patient with me, as he proves to continue to always be. I think he always knew the spark between us would keep burning and we'd be together...and he was right!
Fun Fact: I remember talking to my best friend (Beckie- the Maid of Honor) about him before we started dating and telling her, Matt isn't a guy I would date, he's the guy I would marry. And sure enough, here we are!

HE
The first time I saw Taylor
I was pretty much interested right away! Luckily for me, she was friends with my best man Matt, who was also my roommate. From the second we met, we would always find ourselves together. The thing I've lways loved about Taylor is her drive to make herself better and everyone around her better.
Taylor and I's love for the outdoors and new adventures always brings us closer nad let's us spend some truly amazing moments together.

Dating
October 11, 2009
until now, Matt and Taylor have been blessed to be together. Together they've experienced college, playing Mario Kart when they should have been studying for finals, college graduations, family gatherings, and MANY new nieces and nephews births. They've had fun at Matt's baseball games, during Taylor's crazy journey into her love of health/fitness, playing HORSE and Taylor only being able to beat Matt with a left-handed bank shot :), many roadtrips, nightly walks around the park after dinner, DIY projects, and they can never forget all those games of Kubb!
Two years ago, Matt and Taylor moved to Colorado together and have since been blessed to enjoy their love for nature and the outdoors by hiking, fishing, paddleboarding, and trying to spend as many weekends on getaways exploring a new Colorado town as they can!
they've loved every minute!
